During the mid-1800’s, urbanization and technological development created new problems that needed to be solved. When cities grew, demand for pipes, lamp posts, pumps and other cast iron products increased. Gradually, foundries started to play a more important role in Swedish economy.
The foundry in Forsvik was the heart of the operations here for more than 100 years.

Impressions tells stories about production processes and working conditions in a mid-sized 20th century Swedish foundry.
