RAW - tradition with a modern twist
Contemporary versions of traditional handicrafts are displayed in the pulp mill’s far gallery, which has won acclaim for the high quality of its temporary exhibitions.
The gallery now provides space for the Tibro Handicraft centre, where students and teachers take the traditional crafts of sculpture, decorative painting and gilding to new contemporary expressions.
Each summer, a new exhibition of furniture, paintings, sculptures and everyday items is recreated with a nod to both tradition and the future.
These are arts and crafts with a modern twist, with a focus on metals, casting and scrap recycling.
